Serve Our Willing Warriors (SOWW) is holding a ribbon cutting at its Bull Run Warrior Retreat on Saturday, July 4th, from 1 to 4 p.m. The Retreat will serve our Nation’s wounded, ill and injured service members and their families. The event will feature a special performance by the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.
SOWW purchased 37 acres of land, which includes an 11,000 square foot home, on Waterfall Road in Haymarket, Virginia, as the site for the Retreat. While the home is very spacious, it required extensive renovation. Specifically, it was not handicap-accessible and was in need of updating – it was built in the 1970s and not much had been done to the house since then. Thanks to the generous donations and efforts of local businesses and individuals, SOWW will hold the Retreat’s ribbon cutting July 4, beginning at 1 p.m. The Retreat’s address is 16013 Waterfall Rd, Haymarket.
