Seven PWCS grads honored for lacrosse

Seven Prince William County students were named Academic All-Americans in Lacrosse for the 2011 season. The U.S. Lacrosse high school committees honored recent graduates Autumn Uptain, Kirsten Zimmerman, Rachel Weinberg, Rebecca Hieck, and Sara Reedy of Osbourn Park High School; Dylan Haskins of Potomac High School; and Tyler Keshur of Stonewall Jackson High School.

The students earned the award because they:
• Started or were significant contributors.
• Carried at least a 50 percent course load in college preparatory courses of honor or advanced placement level.
• Had a cumulative weighted grade point average of at least a 3.6.
• Made significant contributions to the school and/or community beyond participation on school athletic teams.
