Wildlife Habitat workshop to be held May 1 in PWC

A free Wildlife Habitat Workshop will be held on Friday, May 1, 3-7 p.m., at Windy Knoll Farm, 11602 Kettle Run Road, Nokesville, VA 20181

Want to increase species richness of your property?  A wealth of wildlife love quail habitats! Come learn how to make it happen at this free workshop.

3-5 PM - Outdoor Habitat Walk and Native Grass Drill “How To” Session” led by David Bryan, private lands biologist with the Quail Recovery Initiative along with Jay Yankey and Mike Miller of the Prince William SWCD. Participants should be prepared to walk.

5-6 PM - Featured Early Successional Habitat Talk, led by David Bryan.

6-7 PM - Landowner Panel with Q & A session. Come hear Northern Piedmont landowners discuss their habitat efforts, success and lessons learned.
