Jeanine Lawson, Brentsville District Supervisor-elect, will be sworn into office at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014. The ceremony is open to the public and will be held in the atrium of the James J. McCoart Administration Building at 1 County Complex Ct., Prince William, VA.
Lawson was elected to the Prince William Board of County Supervisors in a special election held on Dec. 23, 2014. She will take the seat vacated by former Brentsville District Supervisor, W.S. “Wally” Covington, III, who resigned to accept an appointment as a judge with the General District Court of Prince William County.
Lawson will serve the remainder of the current term, which runs through Dec. 31, 2015.
