Burglary to a school-ARRESTS
On May 24 police were able to identify the two individuals involved in the burglary and vandalism at Woodbridge High School. Interviews were conducted and the two accused, both seniors at Woodbridge High School, were charged. Arrested: Aaron Alexander Gilliam, 18, of 12328 Colby Dr in Woodbridge. Charged with burglary and destruction of property. Court date set for June 22, 2011, released on personal recognizance. Arrested: A 17-year-old male of Woodbridge. Charged with burglary and destruction of property. Court date unavailable.
Previous report on this: On May 21 at 8:39 a.m., police responded to Woodbridge High School at 3001 Old Bridge Road in Lake Ridge for a burglary to a school. The investigation revealed that sometime between 1:25 and 2:30 a.m., two unknown individuals, possibly juveniles, were seen on surveillance, inside the school setting off fire extinguishers, dumping liquids on the floor, gluing coins to locks on doors and other various acts of vandalism. Malicious Wounding—Wanted person
On May 25, police identified the assailant in the below malicious wounding. Warrants are currently on file for the accused. Wanted: Luis Jose Leon-Escobar, 25 – last known address of 9638 Horizon Run Road in Gaithersburg, Md. Described as a Hispanic male, 5’05” 130 lbs., black hair, brown eyes. Wanted for malicious wounding.
Previously released: On May 25 at 1:28 a.m., police responded to the 16700 block of Shingle Oak Dr. in Woodbridge for an assault. The male victim, 26 of Woodbridge, reported to police he and a known acquaintance were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and swung it towards the victim, striking him in the arm. The victim was able to get the knife from the accused. The accused fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was treated for minor injuries. Investigation continues.

Armed Robberies
On May 26 at 1:57 a.m., police responded to the 1300 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge for a robbery. The two female victims reported to police they were inside their vehicle in the above area when they were approached by two unknown men. One of the men was armed with a handgun and took one of the victim’s purse containing money and cell phone. The men fled on foot prior to police arrival. Lookout: two black males, both were reported to be young, thin build. Both were last seen wearing all black clothing with bandanas over their faces.
While police were investigating this robbery, a second robbery was reported at 2:11 a.m. in the 1200 block of Bayside Ave. The male victim was walking into his building in the above area when he was approached and grabbed by two unknown men. The victim began to fight off the assailants when he was punched and then struck with a handgun. The men took the victim’s wallet containing money and his cell phone before fleeing on foot. Lookout: two black males. First male was reported to be around 6’1”, heavy build with facial hair, last seen wearing a red jacket and black pants. Second male was reported to be around 5’9”, thin build, last seen wearing a white jacket and blue jeans.
ARRESTS
Narcotics Investigation
On May 25, police made the following arrest in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Mary’s Way in Woodbridge as part of a narcotics investigation into the distribution of marijuana. The accused was found to be in possession of approximately 1lb. of marijuana. The accused was arrested without incident and charged. Arrested: George Wellington-Aprey, 31, of 1486 Ranger Loop #202 in Woodbridge. Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Court date set for July 25, 2011, released on personal recognizance.
Narcotics Investigation
On April 7 at 1:06 a.m., police executed a search warrant at the Econo Lodge at 17005 Dumfries Road in Dumfries as part of a narcotics investigation into the distribution of marijuana. As a result of the search warrant marijuana and packaging materials were recovered. Arrested: Sterling Armand Spence, 27 – no fixed address. Charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Court date and bond information unavailable. Arrested: Released on Summons: Michael Maurice Williams, 27, of 19323 Belleau Wood Dr in Triangle. Charged with possession of marijuana . Court date unavailable.
Narcotics Investigation
On March 25 at 9:05 p.m., police executed a search warrant and an arrest warrant at 11602 Leewood Ct. in Woodbridge to conclude an investigation into the selling of marijuana. During a search of the accused, marijuana was located. Arrested: Christopher Kevin Sjelin, 19, of 11602 Leewood Ctl in Woodbridge. Charged with distribution of marijuana and distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic. Court date unavailable, at the time of the arrest the accused was given a $5,000 bond.

Burglary
On May 25 at 6:30 p.m., police responded to the 5800 block of Seven Pines Ct in Haymarket for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 8:30 p.m. on May 21 and 8:30 p.m. on May 22. Entry appeared to have been made through an opened garage door. Golf clubs valued around $2,300 were reported missing.

On May 25 at 10:05 a.m., police responded to the 12900 block of Bristow Road in Nokesville for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30 and 10 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Jewelry valued around $3,500 was reported missing.

On May 24 at 6:18 p.m., police responded to the 14300 block of Bristow Road in Nokesville for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear door that had been forced opened. Medication and U.S. currency was reported missing.
