The City of Manassas Fire Marshal’s Office needs the public’s help with information about an incident on Aug. 11, 2014, according to a news release from Patty Prince, public affairs specialist for the city.
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 11, a resident in the 9600 block of ShannonLane found a glass bottle on the front lawn of the residence. It appeared to be an incendiary device commonly known as a Molotov cocktail.
The glass bottle contained an unidentified liquid and a blue cloth, that was partially burned, inserted into the top of the bottle. Laboratory analysis is underway to remove fingerprints from the bottle, identify the liquid and the type ofcloth.
The victim also reported that a vehicle belonging to another resident of the same address was vandalized.
