Brain building to occur April 28 at NOVA’s Manassas campus

On April 28 at 7 p.m., the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will host “Building the Brain,” a presentation by Mark Finley. The evening will start with a reception at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the community.

Finley has lectured in nearly 100 countries in some of the world’s most prestigious auditoriums. Tens of thousands have attended his highly motivational presentations.

Finley graduated from Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree, completed his master’s degree at Andrews University in Michigan and was awarded a doctorate of divinity from Southwestern Adventist University.

For the last 45 years he has served as a pastor, college professor, international lecturer, administrator and television host.

He is best known for hosting the international “It Is Written” television programs on family, health and religious values for 14 years. He has authored more than 70 books on a variety of faith building themes.

“Building the Brain” is the latest presentation sponsored by the Manassas Campus initiative called iCAD, which stands for Inspiring our Community to Academic achievements through Diverse experiences.

The presentations are intended to encourage people to pursue their educational goals.
