Girl, 9, sexually assaulted; man, 33, avoids being stabbed, PWC police report

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Sexual Battery l Indecent Liberties – On March 5th, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 2100 block of Culpeper Dr in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 9 year old girl of Woodbridge, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on more than one occasion in February of 2014. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
Arrested on March 5th:
Eduardo CRUZ-PEREZ, 45, of 2125 Culpeper Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with 2 counts of aggravated sexual battery and 2 counts of indecent liberties

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On March 5th at 3:56AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Habrown Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault.  The victim, a 33 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused attempted to stab the victim with a knife before she fled in a vehicle. The accused was eventually located by officers and arrested without further incident.  No injuries were reported.

April Jamie ENRIQUEZ, 33, of 13157 Habrown Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On March 3rd at 11:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2600 block of Creek Moor Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on March 3rd and 11:49PM on March 4th. Entry was made into the basement area of the residence through a sliding glass door which had the lock broken out.  Miscellaneous property and jewelry, total value around $2,000, was reported missing.
