It will begin to accept donations for the thrift store, Save ‘N’ Serve, on Sept. 3, in anticipation of its opening the week of Sept. 16.

The store is located at 10360 Portsmouth Road, Manassas, in the shopping center with Family Christian Stores and Toys”R”Us on Sudley Road.

The 4,397 sq. foot location will offer bargain hunters deals on clothing, shoes, accessories, books, housewares, linens, small appliances, records and CDs, artwork, sporting goods, gift items, collectibles, estate goods and luggage, according to the news release.

Donors can drop off donations of the above goods (new or gently used, broken or items needs cleaning or repair cannot be accepted) to Save ‘N’ Serve starting Tuesday, Sept. 3.  Donations may be dropped off daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays noon to 5 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to help sort donations and help set up the store in anticipation of its opening the week of Sept. 16. NVFS will announce the exact opening date in its News Room (http://www.nvfs.org/news) and social media channels http://www.facebook.com/nvfs.org and @nvfs) as soon as possible.

Save ‘N’ Serve in Manassas will join NVFS’ Clock Tower Thrift Stores in Falls Church and Chantilly.  “The revenue generated from these operations supports critical programs for families and children in Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun,” according to a statement.
