Prince William Public Library System that also serves residents of Manassas and Manassas Park now has SmartPay, a secure online service which enables library users to pay for library fines and fees with credit and debit cards. The Library System accepts MasterCard, VISA and Discover credit cards as well as debit cards with the MasterCard or VISA logo. The Library System does not add a service or convenience charge for its online payment system so you will only be charged for the library fines and fees paid.
To access the system, a patron will need his or her library card number and PIN (password) to log into SmartPay and retrieve the details of the library account. A patron will be able to view his balance, select items to pay, securely charge his credit card, and print a receipt. To access the system, go to http://www.pwcgov.org/library/onlinepayments or visit the Library System’s website and click on Pay Library Fines & Fees in the left navigational frame.
The Prince William Public Library System does not collect or store credit or debit card processing data, according to a news release from the county agency. SmartPay is a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliant gateway.
