Volunteers needed to help with cleanup of Hooes Run on land and water Oct. 13

The Prince William Trails & Streams Coalition is organizing a Hooes Run cleanup on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon, to remove trash and debris that has accumulated on the shoreline of this section of the Occoquan reservoir in Lake Ridge.

Volunteers are needed to work from land–walking along the shoreline–and to work from watercraft–canoes and kayaks. Meet at the Lake Ridge Parks & Recreation Association (LRPRA) boat launch, at the end of Forest Hill Rd. in Lake Ridge. (12405 Forest Hill Road, Woodbridge VA 22192).

Visit the PWTSC web site to register for the event, at http://www.pwtsc.org/index.php/category/events/  The .coalition is asking for registration so organizers of the Hoes Run cleanup can plan for the number of participants and parking. For more information, contact Neil Nelson, 703-232-4037 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
