Lake Jackson Drive reopens today in Manassas

Today, Aug. 24, Lake Jackson Drive is re-opening to traffic, according to a press release from the city. This is one week ahead of schedule.  There is still work to be performed in this area as the power poles will need to be repositioned, but traffic flow will resume today.

Work will continue on Lake Jackson Drive to include some drainage work, milling,paving and striping.  This project was part of projects affiliated with residential development in the area.

“The work that could have taken months to complete was accomplished in weeks,” City Manager John Budesky was quoted as saying in a press release.  “Closing the road for a short period of time has lessened the inconvenience to the area by months.”
