Medical examiner called in after unconscious man—found on Dale Blvd. Dec. 28-dies at local hospital
Death Investigation – On Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024 at 1:18AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the intersection of Dale Blvd and the I95 northbound ramp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an unconscious man in the roadway, according to a Prince William County police report.
A PWC Police Department news release said that a passing motorist observed the man in the roadway and contacted emergency services.
The man, identified as Tarone Lamont BLAND, 27, of Woodbridge, was transported to an area hospital where he later died. It is currently unknown if the man was struck by a vehicle or sustained injuries in a separate encounter.
The cause of death is undetermined, pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact police. The investigation is continuing, the police report said.
