Two charged Oct. 23, 2024 with reckless handling of firearms; no one hurt

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 8:44PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 4100 block of Talon Dr. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a shots fired call.
The investigation revealed a homeowner in the area, identified as the accused, brandished a firearm toward a group of juveniles who were in the neighborhood. During the encounter, the accused fired a round. No injuries or property damage were reported. Officers determined the accused was intoxicated and detained him without incident. While investigating the incident, officers executed a search warrant at the residence where evidence related to the investigation was recovered. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jason Lamont EVANS, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 23 at 8:04PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 8800 block of Cherry Oak Ct. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed a resident of the home, identified as the accused, was handling his handgun when a round discharged, traveling through a wall before exiting the home. No injuries or other property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Bijan Ali BUSTER, was charged.
