Patriots for Disabled Divers hosts 5th Haunted Maze in Occoquan Oct. 26

On Saturday, Oct. 26, Patriots for Disabled Divers (PFDD) will host their Fifth annual Haunted Maze. This event is a spooky season tradition in the historic town that PFDD has supported as a fundraiser to benefit Injured Veterans. This Haunted Maze has become a town favorite for its size and high-quality production value.

The maze itself is a PG-13 rated event. Participants enter through the Spirits Garden and then navigate through 15 themed areas. Halloween classics such as skeletons and ghouls pack each of the 32 scare zones. After completing the maze, participants return to the Spirits Garden, where they can purchase Halloween-themed alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic refreshments. Drinks are enjoyed on the property with dance music provided by a live DJ and appetizers from D’Rocco’s restaurant.

Tickets for the maze are $10 for ages 13 and up. Ages 12 and under can enjoy the event for $5. However, the maze is not recommended for children.

All proceeds from the Haunted Maze and the Spirits Garden bar benefit Patriots for Disabled Divers, a 501(c)3 non-profit devoted to providing the therapeutic benefits of scuba diving to injured veterans. The Haunted Maze is a significant fundraiser for the organization.

Designed by Bill Pressly, this year’s event is also dedicated to Bill as he has recently lost his battle with cancer. The funds produced help PFDD offer their programs at no cost to the veterans they support.

“Enjoying this haunted Occoquan tradition is one of the best ways to support injured veterans on their healing journey and honor one who has given so much to PFDD,: a news release said.
