Homicide Investigation
On October 21 2024 at 2:29 P.M. the Manassas City Police Department received a 911 call stating that a person had been shot in a residence located in the 9200 block of Brinkley Lane, Manassas, VA. Police immediately responded to the scene and located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel also responded to the residence and determined the victim to be deceased.
According to the police report, a suspect at the scene was identified as the shooter and subsequently detained by police. Investigators determined that the incident was between domestic partners who both lived at the residence, the police report said. The suspect was placed into custody and eventually transported to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. She was charged with the following criminal offenses and held without bond.
18.2-32 - Second-degree murder (Felony)
18.2-53.1 - Use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony (Felony)
At this time. Manassas Police said there are no other outstanding suspects believed to be involved in the shooting and the entire incident was contained within the residence.
The accused was identified as: Latoya Christine Crabbe, 34, of the 9200 block of Brinkley Lane, Manassas, VA 20110
The victim was identified as Curtis Bryant Crabbe, 38, of the 9200 block of Brinkley Lane, Manassas, VA 20110
