PWC Police Report: Assault & battery charged in Oct. 9 incident at PWC Adult Detention Center

ARRESTS
Assault & Battery on a Corrections Officer – On October 9, 2024 at 4:45PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC) located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault on a staff member. The investigation revealed an inmate of the facility, identified as the accused, threw property inside his cell at a corrections officer. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gerardo CARRASCO MARTINEZ, was charged.

Residential Burglary – On October 10, 2024 at 10:11AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 2000 block of Cumberland Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, was seen by the homeowner on cameras inside the residence. The accused is believed to have entered the home through a side door. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. The accused had left the area before officers arrived on the scene. While investigating the incident, officers in the area located and detained the accused without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Marlon CARDENAS, was arrested.

Unlawful Wounding (Domestic) – On October 10, 2024 at 1:30AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3200 block of Wyndale Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 33-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim and cut his hand with a knife. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Bianka Lizeth AZANON, was arrested.
