Police Motorcycle Riding Rodeo Oct. 2-5 at Virginia Gateway in Gainesville
Virginia Gateway Shopping Center in Gainesville will be the scene of the 45th Mid-Atlantic Police Motorcycle Riding Rodeo Oct. 2-5.
The event for first responder motorcycle riders is an annual training exercise and fundraiser for such charities as Special Olympics. Competitions will be held Friday afternoon, Oct. 4 and all day Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 8 a.m. The public is invited to attend, especially on Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 8 a.m. There will be a dedicated viewing space so spectators can watch from a safe distance, according to a news release.
The event is being hosted by the Fairfax County Police Motor Squad with support from Prince William County Police, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department and law enforcement from Arlington, Alexandria and others. Sponsors and vendors will be on site.
