Agape Love in Action to fill 2000 bags for D Day Hope in a Bag

Nonprofit Agape Love in Action (ALIA,) founded by Corliss Udoema of Hyamarket, will hold its D Day Hope in a Bag 2024 activity on June 6. This day marks the 80th anniversary of D Day, when troops from from the United States, Canada and The UK invaded the beaches of Normandy in WWII.
Many veterans, six members of Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton’s staff and Aziza Mojadidi, Sandy Springs Bank’s local branch manager, will fill 2,000 bags.
The bags will be distributed to various homeless shelters and two veteran homeless shelters in the DMV. They will include food items, many of which have been donated by Sandy Springs Bank employees and clients. Other donations include Washington Commanders’ branded products.
Virginia US Senators, Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, along with Doug Williams, have sent what Udoema said were beautiful letters of support of ALIA’s D Day Hope in a Bag 2024.
