Manassas a-buzz about 4th annual family-friendly Bee Festival on June 22

The fourth annual Manassas Bee Festival will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will take place on the grounds of the 19th century Liberia House, which will be open for self-guided tours, a unique opportunity to see inside this property that will be 200 years old in 2025.

The family-friendly event will also offer a bluegrass band, food trucks, mead & beer garden, vendors, local honey sales, bee hives. native bee houses, plant experts, farm animals, games, crafts, and more. Guests in bee costumes are welcome.

New this year: A 2K Honey Hike beginning at 9:15 a.m. from Manassas Museum Lawn to Liberia. A tractor shuttle will provide free rides from the Manassas Parking Garage (9102 Prince William Street, across from the Manassas Museum Lawn) to Liberia, and return rides.

Manassas is the first city in Northern Virginia to receive the Bee City USA® designation that brings awareness to plant native, and save declining pollinators.
