INCIDENTS
• Suspicious Package Investigation – On Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 4:59PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 8200 block of Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a suspicious package.
The investigation revealed the caller observed an unattended backpack in the parking lot and contacted police. A police K-9 and members of the Virginia State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit responded and determined the bag was not hazardous, and there was no threat to the area.
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2:42AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 12700 block of Cara Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed the caller woke to gunshots in the area.
No injuries or property damage were reported. Officers located multiple shell casings on the roadway of Cara Dr. near Elysian Dr.
• Residential Burglary – On Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:57AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 7400 block of Bull Run Rd. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed an unknown man forced entry into the home through a back window.
The homeowner returned shortly after and confronted the suspect who was still inside the home. The suspect left the home through the damaged window and ran to a wooded area behind the residence. A police K-9 and Fairfax police helicopter searched for the suspect who was not located. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.
ARRESTS
• Strangulation (Domestic Related) – On May 22, 2024 at 7:43AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate multiple domestic disputes that were reported to have occurred at the Riverside Station Apartments located in the 14100 block of Big Crest Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) between March 19 and May 14.
The investigation revealed during the above timeframe, the victim, a 25-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in multiple verbal altercations that escalated. During the encounters, the victim was assaulted, and in three of the incidents the accused grabbed the victim’s neck.
The accused also, on two separate occasions, prevented the victim from contacting emergency services. The victim reported sustaining minor injuries during the incidents. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Kendall Rayshawn DAVIS, who on May 22, was arrested.

Charged with 3 counts of strangulation, 1 count of malicious wounding, 5 counts of domestic assault & battery, and 2 counts of preventing the summoning of law enforcement
