INCIDENTS
• Strangulation (Domestic Related) – On Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:54AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a domestic dispute that was reported to have occurred at the Longview Apartments located in the 13700 block of Lynn St. in Woodbridge (22191) in the early morning hours of May 29.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 24-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw the victim to the ground and struck her before grabbing her neck and preventing her from leaving the apartment. The parties eventually separated. Minor injuries were reported.
Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Quamel THOMSON. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
Wanted:
Quamel THOMSON, 26, of the 14100 block of Cove Landing Dr. in Woodbridge
Described as a black male, approximately 5’9”, 210lbs., with black hair, brown eyes, and tattoos on his hands
Wanted for strangulation, abduction, and assault & battery
• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On May 30 , 2024 at 7:27PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 8100 block of Seymour Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call.
The investigation revealed two groups of individuals were on the nearby basketball courts when an altercation between the groups escalated and rounds were exchanged. All parties fled prior to police arriving in the area.
While investigating the incident, officers located one home, two apartments, and three unoccupied vehicles that were struck with gunfire. Shell casings were located on the basketball courts. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.
ARRESTS
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 6:52AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Shoppers Best Way near Worth Ave. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call.
The investigation revealed a woman and a man, later identified as the accused, were involved in an altercation in the above roadway, when two Good Samaritans stopped to assist. During the encounter, a verbal altercation escalated when the accused fired a handgun into the air. No injuries were reported.
Later that day, officers located the accused and detained him without incident. Officers also found the accused in possession of the firearm believed to have been used in the earlier incident, as well as, illegal drugs, items consistent with distribution, and ammunition. Further investigation revealed the firearm was previously reported stolen out of Prince William County. Following the investigation, the accused, Dan Benedict GALVEZ, was arrested.

Charged with reckless handling of a firearm, possession of stolen firearm, and possession with intent to distribute schedule IV drug
