PWC Police Dept. Crime Report May 6, 2024: Fatal crash in Manassas, dead body in Woodbridge

Fatal Crash Investigation *ARREST
– On May 3, 2024 crash investigators obtained arrest warrants for the driver of a vehicle who was involved in the fatal collision that occurred in the area of Yates Ford Rd. near Evans Ford Rd. in Manassas (20112) on April 15.
The investigation revealed the driver of the 1993 Buick Roadmaster, identified as the accused, was under the influence and failed to yield the right-of-way to a Dodge Ram pickup as the vehicles entered the intersection and collided. The resulting injuries from the crash killed a 32-year-old Manassas woman who was a passenger inside the same vehicle as the accused. The driver of the other vehicle, a 56-year-old Manassas man, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jason Carter LAMBETH, was arrested.

Charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter-DUI related and fail to yield the right-of-way

The deceased passenger of the 1993 Buick Roadmaster was identified as Jessica Lynn RANDALL, 32, of Manassas

Fatal Crash Investigation – On April 15, 2024 at 2:23PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Yates Ford Rd. near Evans Ford Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed the driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup truck was traveling westbound on Yates Ford Rd. approaching Evans Ford Rd. when a 1993 Buick Roadmaster traveling eastbound on Yates Ford Rd. entered the intersection in front of the truck’s path of travel. The truck and Roadmaster collided within the intersection.

The driver and female passenger of the Roadmaster were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. A Pug in the Roadmaster was declared deceased on scene. The driver of the pickup truck was also transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On April 26, crash investigators were notified that the female passenger who was injured in the Roadmaster died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash. The driver of the Roadmaster is expected to survive. Alcohol appears to be a factor for the driver of the Roadmaster. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Death Investigation – On May 5 at 5:29PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Dawson Beach Rd. near Highams Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a death. The investigation revealed a Good Samaritan observed a body in a wooded area near the above location. The body was in a decomposed state and transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to confirm the identity and determine the cause of death.
At this time, there is no threat to the community concerning the death. More information will be released as necessary. The investigation continues.

• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On May 4 at 9:48PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Expedition Dr. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shots fired call.
The investigation revealed the homeowner heard gunshots before locating damage inside the home. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Shell casings were located in the roadway on Lions Field Rd.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On May 5, 2024 at 2:49AM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call.
The investigation revealed there was a verbal altercation between parties before gunshots were heard. Shortly after the gunfire, a dark-colored sedan was seen driving quickly out of the area. No injuries or property damage were reported. A shell casing was located on the ground.

• Residential Burglary – On May 3, 2024 at 9:09PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 7500 block of Equinox Landing Ct. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary.
The investigation revealed entry was made into the home through a rear patio window sometime between 10:30AM and 9:00PM. A laptop was reported missing. There were no signs of forced entry into the home.

ARRESTS
Malicious Wounding –
On May 2, 2024 at 11:44PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the Chapel Springs Assembly of God Church located at 11500 New Life Way in Bristow (20136) to investigate an assault.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated during a game on a sports field. During the initial encounter, the accused scratched and struck the victim before the parties were briefly separated.
As the verbal altercation continued between the parties, the accused physically re-engaged the victim and struck him multiple times in the face before the parties were finally separated. The victim was treated at an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries where the police were notified.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Mason William TREDINNICK, was arrested.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On May 6 at 2:21AM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the Shorehaven Apartments located in the 16900 block of Porters Inn Dr. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 27-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the initial encounter, the victim, and a group of women, including the accused, were inside a vehicle where the victim was struck multiple times.
The victim eventually got out of the vehicle, and encountered the accused a short time later near the above area where the accused struck the victim a second time before taking her phone and wallet. There were two additional women with the accused who also assaulted the victim.
The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation the accused, identified as Erika Juventia CASTRO HERNANDEZ, was arrested. The investigation continues as officers attempt to identify the other women involved in the incidents.

• Assault & Battery on a Corrections Officer – On May 4 at 5:39PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault on multiple staff members.
The investigation revealed staff were attempting to assist an inmate, identified as the accused, when he spit on an officer. When additional officers attempted to detain the accused, he struck a separate officer before being secured. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Isaiah Kenyatta Lee OGLESBY, was charged.
Charged on May 4:
Kenyatta Lee OGLESBY, 21, of 2203 Champlain St. in Washington, D.C.
Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on a corrections officer
Court Date: Pending | Status: Remains Incarcerated

* Indecent Exposure – On May 3 at 9:42AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 18500 block of Corby St. in Triangle (22172) to investigate an indecent exposure. The investigation revealed the accused was inside a residence in front of an open window exposing himself and making inappropriate gestures which were observed by multiple children under the age of 13 who were playing in the area. No physical or verbal interaction occurred between the accused and the children. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as David John Redmond MAUER, was arrested.
Arrested on May 4:
