PWC Police crime report for May 2, 2024: Brandishing BB Gun on school bus

Prince William County Police issued the following crime report on Thursday, May 2, 2024:

UPDATES
• Armed Robbery *ARREST –
On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, one of the suspects sought in connection with the robbery that was reported to have occurred in the pathway between Swift Stream Ct and the Tackett’s Mill commuter lot in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge (22192) on April 21, was identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, and arrested.
The investigation continues as police attempt to identify the other suspects involved in the incident.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2:28PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a pathway located between Swift Stream Ct and the Tackett’s Mill commuter lot in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was walking in the above area with a female acquaintance when they were approached by three male suspects, one of whom was known to the victim.
During the encounter, one of the male suspects brandished a firearm while the suspects demanded the victim’s property. The suspects took the victim’s backpack and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspects were described as black males in their late teens.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm *ARREST – On May 1, the suspect, identified as Henry Tyler POWELL, who was sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred in to the 1400 block of G St. in Woodbridge (22191) on April 29, 2024 was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm [Previously Released] – On Monday, April 29, 2024 at 12:15AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 1400 block of G St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed the victims, a 21-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.
During the encounter, the accused retrieved a firearm and brandished it towards the victims before firing multiple rounds. The victims were not struck and contacted the police upon leaving the area. No injuries or property damage were reported. Shell casings were located in front of a residence in the area. Officers identified the accused as Henry Tyler POWELL and obtained arrest warrants. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

ª Brandishing of a Firearm *ARREST – On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the suspect, identified as Tasheem Rashad DOUGLAS, who was sought in connection to the brandishing that was reported to have occurred at the Burger King located at 16551 River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191), on April 23, was arrested by Manassas City police.

Brandishing of a Firearm *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED [Previously Released] – On April 28, officers identified and obtained arrest warrants for the suspect involved in the brandishing incident that was reported to have occurred at Burger King located at 16551 River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191), on April 23. Attempts to locate the accused, identified as Tasheem Rashad DOUGLAS, have been unsuccessful.

Brandishing of a Firearm [Previously Released]– On April 23 at 9:46PM, officers responded to the Burger King located at 16551 River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed an employee and male patron were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the man threw cups of liquid toward the employees and then spat on an employee before running out of the restaurant. When another employee followed the suspect outside, the man brandished a firearm towards the employee before the parties separated. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

INCIDENTS
• Brandishing of a BB Gun on School Bus – On Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 8:17AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Forest Park High School located at 15721 Forest Park Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a brandishing which reportedly occurred on a school bus.
The investigation revealed a male juvenile, later identified as the accused, got onto a bus enroute to Forest Park H.S. school where he reportedly lifted his shirt revealing what appeared to be a weapon in his waistband.
Upon arriving at the school, the accused and a group of other students exited the bus and walked towards a nearby wooded area off the school grounds. Other students on the bus who observed the weapon immediately told school personnel who then contacted the police.
The school adjusted their operation status as a precaution while officers conducted the investigation which ultimately led officers to locate the accused, identified as a 15-year-old male student from another Prince William County school. The weapon was determined to be a BB gun and never entered the school building. The investigation continues.

Strong-Arm Robbery – On Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 12:09PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Pupuseria Y Taqueri food truck parked in the 8200 block of Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery.

The investigation revealed three unknown men took drinks from the food truck cooler without paying. When the owner confronted them, one of the men pushed the owner before all three left the area with the unpaid items. No injuries were reported. The suspect who pushed the owner was described as a tall black male wearing a black hat and all black clothing.

•Residential Burglary – On May 1 at 12:25PM, officers responded to the Regency Apartments located in the 9800 block of Shallow Creek Lp.in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed an unsecured apartment was entered and vandalized sometime overnight. No property was reported missing.

ARRESTS
• Strangulation (Domestic) – On May 1 at 5:35PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of Paxton St. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic dispute.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 29-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim and grabbed his neck before the parties separated. Minor injuries were reported.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alexandra Liana THAMINEZ, was arrested.
