PW Police arrest Lorton man in connection with March 4-16 bank and pharmacy robberies

Bank Robbery | Armed Robbery *ARREST – On April 26, 2024 Prince William County Police detectives concluded investigations into multiple robberies that were reported to have occurred at locations in the Manassas (20109) and Woodbridge (22192) areas of Prince William County between March 4-16.

With the assistance of local and federal partners, detectives identified the suspect and obtained arrest warrants. The investigation connected the accused to robberies reported at the United Bank on Smoketown Rd. and the CVS on Tacketts Mill Dr. in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge, and the Walgreens on Sudley Manor Dr. in the West Gate area of Manassas.

On April 26, the accused, identified as Bobby WINSTEAD III, was located and taken into custody without incident. Additional charges are pending in the investigation, according to the report from Prince William County Police.

Charged with 1 count of robbery, 1 count of attempted robbery, and 2 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony

Bank Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 4 at 12:32PM, officers responded to the United Bank located at 13870 Smoketown Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man approached the counter and demanded money. The suspect had one of his hands in a bag where part of what was believed to be a firearm was observed.
The suspect fled the bank on foot without taking money. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported. A police K-9 and officers searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 16 at 10:51PM, officers responded to the CVS   located at 2200 Tacketts Mill Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man approached the service counter and brandished a firearm before demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 22 at 11:30PM, officers responded to Walgreens located at 10671 Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an employee was approached by an unknown man who brandished a handgun and escorted the employee to a rear office. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the business with a second man who appeared to be distracting another employee at the front counter. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Both men were described as black males wearing surgical masks. One of the men was wearing a white or gray sweater, dark-colored jeans, and dark-colored shoes while the second man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark-colored pants and shoes.
