Warrenton man, 38, dies after shooting at Dumfries club; police seek information and suspects

Homicide Investigation – Today, Saturday, March 23, 2024, Lt. Jonathan Perot has reported that Prince William County Police officers responded to Club Tempo located at 17650 Possum Point Rd in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting, which is now the subject of a homicide investigation.

Perok said the investigation revealed a fight had occurred in front of the location where officers found a 38-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided first aid to the man who was transported to an area hospital and later died from his injuries.

Two vehicles in the parking lot were also struck by gunfire. No other injuries were reported. No suspects have been located at this time.

Perok said Prince William County Police Department detectives are actively investigating the incident to determine what led up to the shooting and are seeking to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to aid in the investigation. Preliminarily, the incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.
