PW Police locate murder victim’s body in trash truck in Woodbridge

Murder Investigation – On Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 8:49PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Stevenson Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a missing person. The investigation revealed family members were concerned over the welfare of the victim, a 30-year-old woman, who had not picked up her child from daycare.

During the investigation, detectives learned the victim’s vehicle was being driven by an acquaintance of the victim, later identified as the accused, in Newport News City located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and that the victim’s personal belongings were still inside her Woodbridge residence.

On March 22, while in the area of the victim’s residence continuing the investigation into the victim’s whereabouts, detectives stopped and secured a trash collection truck where the victim’s body was later located. Additional evidence was discovered which indicated the accused was involved in the victim’s death. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a murder warrant for the accused, identified as Brendon Devon WHITE, who was located and arrested by Newport News police.
