Fatal Crash Investigation – On Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 4:51AM, Prince William County Police Department crash investigators responded to the intersection of Richmond Hwy. (US 1) and Easy St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash.
The investigation revealed the driver of a 2016 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Richmond Hwy. at a high rate of speed. At one point, the driver lost control, crossed over the median into the northbound lanes, and struck a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica.
The driver and only occupant of the Corolla, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the Pacifica were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Speed is a factor in the collision. Due to the age of deceased, the identity of the driver will not be disclosed by law enforcement. The investigation continues.
