The PWC Department of Transportation and the Planning Office are asking for public comments about how future design of transportation elements such as streets, roads, sidewalks, parking areas, walking paths, crosswalks. traffic lights and more should be done in the community.
Comments can be made and opinions given at the upcoming Yorkshire Open House Meeting that is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Yorkshire Elementary School (7610 Old Centreville Rd., Manassas, VA 20111).
This effort is seeking cost-effective transportation design amenities that support pedestrians and bicyclists along Route 28.
According to the county’s meeting announcement,“Our best resources are the experiences and opinions from residents who live, work and play in Yorkshire”
Comments can also be provided through either completing an online survey, or provided at the open house. To access the survey and for more information, please check out the project webpage or read the Yorkshire project press release.
