Manassas City Police seek information about Jan. 14 shooting in Brentwood area

Aggravated Malicious Wounding
On January 14, 2024, at 4:19 p.m., Manassas City Police responded to the Brentwood neighborhood area for a report of a shooting. While arriving in the area officers located a 31-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg near the intersection of Digges Road and Forum Way. Officers began life-saving measures and summoned rescue personnel to the area. The victim was eventually transported to a local area hospital. 

The police department extensively searched for potential victim(s), suspect(s), and additional crime scenes, which led the investigation to an apartment building in the 8600 block of Devonshire Court. Officers and Detectives interviewed several individuals and identified several persons of interest.

According to a Manassas City Police report, the shooting does not appear to be random at this time, and there is no threat to the community.
