INCIDENTS
• Abduction | Domestic Related – On December 21, 2023 at 2:25AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Alabama Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic dispute.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 22-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused physically prevented the victim from leaving the bedroom before he forcibly grabbed and pushed her to the floor. The assault continued, and the accused struck the victim multiple times to the face.
The parties separated and the accused left the home. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the accused, identified as Franklin Humberto GUZMAN-CANALES. Attempts to locate the accused have been
unsuccessful.

Described as a Hispanic male, 5’6”, 150lbs with brown hair and brown eyes

• Brandishing | Road Rage Related – On December 27, 2023 at 3:20PM, officers responded to the 17000 block of Richmond Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 42- year-old man, was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a gray Honda CRV while both vehicles were traveling northbound on Richmond Hwy in the above area. During the encounter, the driver of the other vehicle brandished a firearm towards the victim before the parties separated. The victim left the area and contacted the police. No shots were fired, and no physical contact occurred between the two parties.

A white male, approximately 30-35 years of age, with a medium build, and bushy auburn hair No clothing description was provided to police
• Attempted Residential Burglary – On December 28, 2023 at 6:31PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 9400 block of Spotsylvania St in Maanssas (20110) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed someone attempted to enter the basement area of the home earlier that morning around 7:30AM. Video surveillance showed an unknown man arrive on a bicycle and open a rear sliding glass door leading to the basement. There were no signs of forced entry to the door, and the suspect did not enter the home. No property was reported missing. The suspect was only described as a black male wearing a dark-colored jacket and blue jeans.
ARRESTS
• Shooting within/at an Occupied Dwelling | Reckless Handling – On December 29 at 1:57AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed a resident of the home, identified as the accused, was intoxicated, and had fired a handgun multiple times both inside and outside the residence. A neighboring occupied home and two parked vehicles were struck, no injuries or additional property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gabriel Alexander BRUINS, was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of shooting within/at an occupied dwelling, 2 counts of destruction of property, 1 count of reckless handling of a firearm, and 1 count of public intoxication
