PWC Crime Log for Oct. 13, 2023: PWC Police make arrest in 2022 robbery case

Strong-Arm Robbery *ARREST –
On September 21, 2023, the suspect sought in connection to the robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 16500 block of River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) on July 10, 2022, and the burglary that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 18600 block of Old Triangle Rd. in Triangle (22172) on Jan. 13, 2023, was arrested. The accused, identified as Daniel Esteban CASTELLANOS, was taken into custody without incident.

Charged with 1 count of robbery, 1 count of burglary, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, 1 count of destruction of property, 2 counts of grand larceny, 1 count of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, and 1 count of petit larceny

Strong-Arm Robbery *ADDITIONAL INCIDENTS [Previously Released] – On January 13, 2023, officers responded to a residence located in the 18600 block of Old Triangle Rd. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the accused, who was known to the victim, broke the screen of an open window and made entry into the home. While inside, the accused took the 21- year-old female victim’s phone and keys before leaving in the victim’s vehicle. On January 15, 2023, the victim located her vehicle and her property in the parking lot of a local business. While investigating, officers determined the accused has active warrants for his arrest in connection to a domestic that occurred in the 16500 block of River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) on July 10, 2022 involving the same victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained additional arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Daniel Esteban CASTELLANOS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Strong-Arm Robbery [Previously Released] – On July 10 at 7:10PM, officers responded to the 16500 block of River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic-in-progress. Upon arriving in the parking lot of a local business, officers located the victim, a 21-year-old woman, with minor injuries. The investigation revealed the victim and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation while driving in the above area. During the encounter, the accused attempted to grab the victim’s phone that led to a struggle before the victim pulled over into a nearby parking lot. The verbal altercation continued and, at one point, both the victim and accused exited the vehicle. The accused then pushed the victim before both parties re-entered the vehicle. Back inside the vehicle, the accused struck the victim who then began to yell. When a bystander intervened, and the accused got out of the vehicle with the victim’s phone and walked away. The victim then used the bystander’s phone to contact the police. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Daniel Esteban CASTELLANOS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

INCIDENTS
• Shooting Investigation –
On October 12 at 7:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Point at Manassas Apartments located in the 8100 block of Juliet Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed two groups were in the parking lot of the above area when shots were fired. All parties then drove off in either a sliver vehicle or a dark-colored truck prior to police arriving at the scene. While investigating the incident, officers were notified of an adult female being treated at an area hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The woman was not cooperative with investigators regarding what led up to her sustaining her injury or the individual(s) involved. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. While checking the area, officers located shell casings in the parking lot. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On October 12 at 11:31PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 9500 block of Bonair Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed at approximately 4:00PM, a resident of the home heard a loud noise at the front door before the suspect(s) fled. While investigating the incident, officers located damage to the door frame. No entry was made in the home and no property was reported missing.

ARRESTS
• Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor –
On October 7 at 12:46AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 1500 block of Carter Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) for a report of two unconscious adults inside a vehicle. The investigation revealed the two accused individuals were parked in the above area when they became unconscious, suspectedly due to intoxication. At the time, three children, identified as a 4-year-old girl, a 7-year-old boy, and a 7-year-old girl, and a Pit Bull, were in the custody of the two accused. After unconscious noted, one of the children went to a nearby residence where police were contacted.
Both accused were transported to an area hospital for treatment and further evaluation. The children were unharmed and turned over to a family member. The dog was also unharmed and turned over to Animal Services.
Following the investigation, the two accused, identified as Kevan MAGALLANES and Autumn FOSS HALE, were charged.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On October 12 at 6:20PM,Prince William County Police officers responded to Nico’s Taco Truck which was parked in the 8200 block of Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed a former employee, identified as the accused, was involved in a verbal altercation with another employee. During the encounter, the accused entered the truck before threatening the owner with a broom, ultimately forcing them out of the truck. Prince William County Police officers arrived at the location and detained the accused without incident.
While investigating the incident,officers determined the accused was in possession of the owner’s keys to the truck and money from the register. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Rosa Lidia RIVERA, was arrested.
