FOTO’s Occoquan River cleanup rescheduled to Oct. 21

Due to the unpredictable weather conditions, it has become necessary to reschedule the FOTO river clean-up originally planned for this weekend, October 14, 2023. Our primary concern is the safety of our volunteers, and the potential for heavy rainfall poses a significant risk reports Sonia Monson, FOTO’s chief cleanup organizer.

We understand that this decision can be disappointing, but please know that it was not made lightly. We believe that rescheduling is the most responsible course of action to ensure everyone’s well-being.

The new date for the river clean-up is set for October 21, 2023. We sincerely hope that you can adjust your schedules and join us on this rescheduled date. Your participation is invaluable to us, and your efforts contribute to the betterment of our community and environment.
