Virginia Department of Transportation Northern Virginia District is working to help foster the transportation workforce of tomorrow, VDOT’s Transportation Career Fair that will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prince William County Fairgrounds. About 1,700 students are expected to visit the info-fair and learnlearn about transportation-related careers.
About 80 engineering firms, organizations, agencies and contractors from all over the Commonwealth will give high school students the chance to network and learn about careers in civil engineering, architecture, technology, construction, environmental, administration and other transportation-related fields.
Many hands-on opportunities await students, including trying equipment. There will also be giveaway, scholarship and internship opportunities.
