Haymarket Elementary site for Aug. 28 town meeting on apartment proposal

Gainesville Supervisor Bob Weir and Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson will hold a town hall on Monday, August 28, 7 to 9 p/,/to learn more about the proposed Highpointe High Density Apartment project in Haymarket. This is an open forum for residents to come and express their opinion on the proposed rezoning to allow 144 housing units at the intersection of James Madison Highway and Route 15 in Haymarket.

While there is a need for affordable housing in Prince William County, considerations need to be made regarding the best location to benefit not only the housing resident, but the surrounding community as well, said Supervisor Lawson.
