Abduction | Strangulation – On May 16, 2023 at 4:13PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence in the 14300 block of Springbrook Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an abduction.
The investigation revealed, the victim, a 19-year-old woman, arranged to meet with an acquaintance in the driveway of the above residence to exchange clothing items. While inside the acquaintance’s vehicle, an unknown man, later identified as the accused, reached up from the back seat and wrapped his arm around the victim’s neck before brandishing a firearm towards her.
When the victim attempted to use her phone, the accused took the phone from her. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and fled the vehicle. The acquaintance and the accused quickly drove out of the area.
While investigating the incident, officers identified the accused as Carlyle Jermaine WORRELL Jr. and the acquaintance as Ceasar Lixandro AMAYA. On May 18, following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for both men.
On June 2, the AMAYA suspect was taken into custody without incident. The case remains active as officers attempt to locate the WORRELL suspect.
