• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On March 2, 2023 at 1:29AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Sedona Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, a 40-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck before the parties separated and the police were contacted. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Ryan Matthew CORNWELL, was arrested.

• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On March 1, 2023 at 7:59AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 3400 block of Vale Ct. in Woodbridge (22192) on February 28. The investigation revealed the victim, a 36-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim to the ground before wrapping his arm around her neck. The parties separated before the accused left the residence in the victim’s vehicle. The victim contacted the police the following day and reported minor injuries. While investigating the incident, officers were informed the accused also took the victim’s credit card without permission and made unauthorized purchases. On the evening of March 1, the victim reported the vehicle was returned to residence without incident. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jesus Robert SANTANA BARRIOS, who was located later that evening and arrested without incident.
