Police arrest suspect in Feb. 9 bank robbery in Woodbridge, VA

Bank Robbery *ARREST –
On Feb. 23, 2023 Prince William County Police Department detectives, charged a 27-year-old man in connection with the robbery that occurred at the Truist Bank located at 16541 River Ridge Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) on Feb. 9. Forensic evidence collected at the scene of the robbery ultimately led to the suspect’s identity, according to a police report.
Following the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as David Emanuel ANDREWS, in connection with the incident. On Feb. 23, the suspect was located and arrested without incident. After the arrest, detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in the Shorehaven apartment complex where other evidence was collected.

Bank Robbery [Previously Released] – On February 9 at 10:07AM, officers responded to the Truist Bank located at 16541 River Ridge Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank on foot towards Richmond Hwy. No weapon was seen, and no injuries were reported. A police K-9 and Fairfax County police helicopter searched the area for the suspect who was not located. Investigators are asking anyone who may have information helpful to the investigation to contact police. The investigation continues.
