INCIDENTS
• Assault – On Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 9:58 PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 7200 block of New Market Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. Upon arriving in the above area officers located a 40-year-old man with injuries. Fire and Rescue personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. The investigation revealed the victim was approached by an unknown man who, at some point during the encounter, struck the victim before fleeing on foot. The suspect was described as a black male approximately 6’0” and bald.
• Strong-Arm Robbery – On February 15 at 5:42 pm, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 14000 block of Jeffries Road in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 13-year-old female juvenile, was walking along the wood line of the above area with three female acquaintances. During the encounter, the acquaintances pushed the victim to the ground and took her backpack before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
• Strong-Arm Robbery – On February 16 at 2:21 PM, Prince William County Police responded to the 14000 block of Potomac Mills Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed while in the parking lot of the above area a light blue Dodge Ram pick-up truck and another vehicle driven by the victim, a 37-year-old woman, were involved in a minor crash. When the woman attempted to contact the police, the driver of the pick-up truck pushed the victim and grabbed her phone before getting back into his truck and fleeing the area. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

Threats by Electronic Means: On 02/16/2023, the school resource officer (SRO) responded to Pennington Traditional School located at 9305 Stonewall Road, Manassas (20110) to investigate a threat towards the victim, an 11-year-old girl. The incident was reported the following day to the school who contacted police. The investigation revealed on the evening of February 15 the accused made a threat on social media. The SRO determined the threat was not credible. Following the investigation, the SRO sought petitions against the accused, a 12-year-old boy. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in an informal action and will be handled through the juvenile diversion process.
