• Strong-Arm Robbery *ADDITIONAL INCIDENTS – On January 13, 2023, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 18600 block of Old Triangle Rd. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the accused, who was known to the victim, broke the screen of an open window and made entry into the home. While inside, the accused took the 21-year-old female victim’s phone and keys before leaving in the victim’s vehicle.
On January 15, 2023, the victim located her vehicle and her property in the parking lot of a local business. While investigating, officers determined the accused has active warrants for his arrest in connection to a domestic that occurred in the 16500 block of River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) on July 10, 2022 involving the same victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained additional arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Daniel Esteban CASTELLANOS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Wanted for 1 count of robbery, 1 count of burglary, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, 1 count of destruction of property, 2 counts of grand larceny, 1 count of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, and 1 count of petit larceny
Strong-Arm Robbery [Previously Released] – On July 10 at 7:10PM, officers responded to the 16500 block of River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic-in-progress. Upon arriving in the parking lot of a local business, officers located the victim, a 21-year-old woman, with minor injuries. The investigation revealed the victim and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation while driving in the above area. During the encounter, the accused attempted to grab the victim’s phone that led to a struggle before the victim pulled over into a nearby parking lot. The verbal altercation continued and, at one point, both the victim and accused exited the vehicle. The accused then pushed the victim before both parties re-entered the vehicle. Back inside the vehicle, the accused struck the victim who then began to yell. When a bystander intervened, and the accused got out of the vehicle with the victim’s phone and walked away. The victim then used the bystander’s phone to contact the police. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Daniel Esteban CASTELLANOS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
INCIDENTS
• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On January 13, 2023 at 10:26PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 3400 block of Brahms Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed two vehicles a black sedan and a red sedan, were driving at a high rate of speed through the residential area while the occupants of each vehicle fired several rounds, possibly towards each other. Two residences and an occupied vehicle sustained damage consistent with being struck by projectiles. No injuries were reported. Several shell casings were located in the roadway and collected by officers.
• Armed Carjacking – On January 15, 2023 at 3:25AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area near the 15000 block of Cardin Pl. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed when the victim, who was working as an Uber driver, stopped in the above area for a fare. Before the fare entered the victim’s vehicle, an unknown masked man opened the driver’s door of the vehicle and brandished a firearm while demanding the vehicle. When the victim got out of his vehicle he observed two additional masked men outside of the vehicle before fleeing on foot. All of the suspects then got into the victim’s vehicle and drove out of the area. While on foot, the victim flagged down another Uber driver, who drove the victim out of the area and contacted the police. No injuries were reported. The victim reported his 2021 blue Nissan Kick, an iPad, and shoes were missing. The suspects were described as tall black males. At no time during the incident were shots fired.

• Armed Robbery – On January 13 at 11:15AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Waggy’s and Disposal Services LLC located at 14955 Dumfries Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed, a group of employees and a supervisor were in the parking lot of the business when a black Chevy Equinox pulled up next to them. Two of the four occupants got out of the vehicle while brandishing firearms and demanding money. One of the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the supervisor before all of the suspects fled in the vehicle. As the suspect vehicle was driving away, multiple rounds were fired. No injuries or property damage were reported. A shell casing was located in the parking lot. All of the suspects were described as black males wearing face coverings and all black clothing.
• Strong-Arm Robbery – On January 15, 2023 at 9:34PM, Prince William County Police officers were flagged down at the 7-Eleven located at 14410 Minnieville Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 31-year-old woman, was sitting inside a vehicle parked in the parking lot, when an unknown man, later identified as the accused, approached the vehicle. During the encounter, the accused demanded the victim’s property before threatening her. The victim quickly got out of the vehicle and was yelling for help when an acquaintance, identified as a 46-year-old man, exited the store, and confronted the accused. There was a brief physical altercation between the men before the accused walked away with the male victim’s knife. No injuries were reported. During the investigation, officers received information identifying the accused who was not located. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Gladimir RIVAS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 15, 2023 at 1:52AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 14200 block of Independent Hill Dr. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a group of people being loud and acting disorderly. During the investigation, officers located multiple shell casings and a bullet in the driveway. The initial investigation revealed shots were fired sometime that morning, however, no previous reports of gunfire were made to police. No injuries were reported, and no property damage was located.
ARRESTS
• Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On January 14, 2023 at 1:41PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 9500 block of Covington Pl. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. Upon arriving at the residence, officers located the victim, an 81-year-old man, suffering from lacerations to his head. Fire and rescue personnel responded and flew the victim to an area hospital where they determined his injuries were non-life threatening. The investigation revealed the accused was outside when he threw a water bottle at a 42-year-old male neighbor, striking him in the back. Shortly after, the 81-year-old male victim was walking in the area when the accused grabbed him and prevented him from leaving. The accused then took the victim’s cane and shoved him on the ground. While the victim was on the ground, the accused kicked him in the head multiple times before striking him with the cane. The neighbor helped separate the victim from the accused and the two men went into a nearby residence where police were contacted. The accused was located outside of the residence and taken into custody without incident. Minor injuries were reported by the neighbor. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Michael Christopher PATANE, was arrested.

• Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 14, 2023 at 5:19AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of Lacrosse Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. Upon arriving at the residence, officers located an unknown man lying on the ground in the driveway and detained him. The investigation revealed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, was observed attempting to force entry into the home through the front door and then later through the rear door. When the homeowner made verbal contact with the accused, and upon hearing the police vehicles arriving in the area, the accused attempted to hide underneath a vehicle that was parked in the driveway where police encountered him. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Stephen Walter MCNEAR, was arrested.
