As some of you are aware, the Virginia State Board of Elections recently sent incorrect voting information to residents in a number of towns in Northern Virginia, including Occoquan. The local Prince William County Office of Elections is in the process of sending out corrected information.
If you are a resident of the Town of Occoquan, your voting location for the Nov. 8 election is Occoquan Elementary School, 12915 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192.
Please note as well that the Virginia General Assembly moved all town elections from May to November. Consequently, when you vote this year in the November election you will not only be voting for Congress, but also for Mayor and Town Council. Again, voting takes place at Occoquan Elementary School, not Town Hall.
You can also avoid all this confusion by voting early at the nearby DMV located at 2731 Caton Hill Road, Woodbridge, VA 22191, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Early voting at that location will also be available on Saturday and Sunday, October 29-30, and Saturday, November 5.
We have posted on the Town web site information regarding this issue. You may view it here : https://www.occoquanva.gov/2022/10/21/notices-with-incorrect-polling-information/.
