• Quadruple Murder Investigation *ARREST – Prince William County police detectives have charged a 24-year-old Woodbridge man in connection to the deaths of four adults that occurred at a home located in the 5200 block of Mansfield Ct in Woodbridge (22193) on October 17. All four decedents and the suspect were residents of the home and known to one another. Three of the deceased are family members, while the fourth was a tenant who resided in the basement. The suspect was identified as an acquaintance of another family member who also resided at the residence and was not present during the incident.
The investigation revealed an altercation occurred inside the home. After the incident, the suspect left the residence and called 9-1-1 to report that someone had shot into the residence. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect a short distance from the home where he was detained without incident. Officers at the residence located the home unsecured and conducted a welfare check where they located the four victims in different areas of the residence.
The initial claims made by the suspect were unsubstantiated. Three of the victims were shot while the death of the fourth victim remains undetermined. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
The incident was isolated to the home and there was no ongoing threat to the community. Following the investigation, the suspect, identified as David Nathaniel MAINE, was arrested. The investigation continues.

• Shooting Investigation *UPDATE [Previously Released] – Prince William County police detectives have identified an adult male as a person of interest in the shooting that occurred at a home in the 5200 block of Mansfield Ct in Woodbridge (22193) earlier this afternoon around 4:32PM. That individual is speaking to investigators at this time. No charges have been placed. The incident appears to be domestic related as the parties were known to one another. The victims were preliminarily identified as two adult men and two adult women. The victim’s identities will be released once confirmed and a next-of-kin has been notified. Additional information will be released when available. The investigation continues.
• Shooting Investigation [Previously Released] – On October 17 at 4:32PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5200 block of Mansfield Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the residence unsecured and conducted a welfare check. Once inside the home, officers located four adults in different parts of the residence suffering from gunshot wounds. All four victims were pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the incident appears isolated to the residence, and there is no ongoing threat to the community. Additional information will be released when available. The investigation continues.
