INCIDENTS
• Fatal Crash Investigation – On October 10, 2022 at 9:51PM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Horner Rd near Millwood Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed the driver of a 2021 Hyundai Sonata was traveling eastbound on Horner Rd, in the area of Millwood Dr, when the driver lost control of the vehicle as it approached a sharp curve in the roadway. The vehicle crossed over the double yellow center line in the road before leaving the roadway, striking a ditch, and rolling several times. Rescue personnel responded to the scene where the driver was pronounced dead. Preliminarily, speed does appear to be a factor in the crash. Investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police.

The driver of the 2021 Hyundai Sonata was identified as Denard Everett BANKSTON II, 24, of Woodbridge
• Death Investigation – On October 11, 2022 at 11:25PM, officers responded to the 14100 block of Richmond Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a death. Officers received third-party information of a possible body in the woods near the above location. Initial checks of the area were unsuccessful in locating any remains. As officers continued to proactively check other locations nearby, they encountered an individual who directed them to outdoor shed behind a local business where the body of an adult male was located. Drug paraphernalia was also observed. There were no obvious signs of trauma. The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. No foul play is suspected in the death at this time.

The deceased was identified as Michael Aaron HOBSON II, 46, of no fixed address
ARRESTS
• Attempted Armed Robbery – On October 10, 2022 at 8:38PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 7400 block of Old Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate an attempted robbery.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 46-year-old man, was exiting a business in the above area when he was approached and propositioned by an unknown woman, later identified as the accused. The victim refused and continued walking to his vehicle in parking lot where he then encountered an unknown man who inquired about money.
The victim ignored the man and got into his vehicle, at which point, the accused stood in front of the vehicle preventing the victim from leaving while the first male suspect, and a second unknown man, approached the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle. The initial suspect then threw an unknown liquid on the victim and his vehicle while the second suspect brandished a firearm.
Bystanders witnessed the incident and yelled towards the suspect who then fled on foot. No injuries were reported, and no property was taken. Responding officers located the accused, and another woman, nearby and where she was detained without further incident. The other woman was not identified as being involved in the incident. The two male suspects were not located. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jasmine Irene WASHINGTON, was arrested. The investigation continues as officers attempt to identify and locate the other two men involved. The investigation continues.

Suspect Descriptions:
The first suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6’0” wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans, while the second suspect was a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, no clothing description provided to police
