• Rape – On October 4, 2022 at 2:29AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the Woodbridge (22191) area of Prince William County to investigate a sexual assault. The investigation revealed the victim, an 11-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by a family member, identified as the accused, earlier that morning.
Prior to officers arriving at the residence, the accused left the home. While investigating the incident, the accused returned to the home and was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives with the Special Victims Bureau determined between January 2020 and September 2022, the victim, who was between 8-11 years old, was sexually assaulted on more than one occasion by the accused. Following the investigation, the accused, who was between 16-18 years old during the above timeframe, was arrested.

• Weapon on School Property – On Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:39AM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Freedom High School located at 15201 Neabsco Mills Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) was notified by school personnel that there was a student in possession of a knife inside the school.
The investigation revealed school security received a tip that a student, identified as the accused, was in possession of knife. The accused was detained by school personnel and the SRO was contacted. The accused was found in possession of two knives and two box cutters. The SRO determined that none of the weapons were displayed or part of any active threat. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, was arrested.
