PWC Police Report for Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 -  5 children under 5 at the home when shots fired

INCIDENTS
• Stabbing Investigation –
On September 27, 2022 at 3:38PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to an area hospital for the report an individual who was stabbed. Hospital staff advised a 25-year-old man was being treated at the hospital for a stab wound to his upper body. The injury was determined to be non-life threatening. No information was obtained regarding where the incident occurred or who may have been involved. The man’s vehicle was located in the hospital parking lot where a firearm and evidence of drug distribution were located. No offense location could be determined. The investigation continues.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 2, 2022 at 4:50PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Saint Croix Ln. and Trinidad Ct. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call.
The investigation revealed that an unknown male suspect, possibly in his late teens, had a brief interaction with an individual at a home on Saint Croix Ln. over a missing phone. After the encounter, the suspect walked away before retrieving a firearm from his waistband and firing a round into the air.
No injuries or property damage were reported. While officers were investigating the incident, an individual matching the description of the suspect was seen. The suspect fled on foot and was not located. No additional shots fired calls were reported. The suspect was wearing a blue sweatshirt and black jeans.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On September 30, 2022 at 9:23PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the AMC at Potomac Mills located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 14-year-old male juvenile, was inside the mall when he was approached by three known male juveniles. During the encounter, the suspects struck the victim multiple times before taking his shoes. The victim was able to separate from the suspects and contacted the police. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects were not immediately located. The investigation continues.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On September 30, 2022 at 9:20PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 7400 block of Barbados Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 55-year-old man, was riding his bike in the above area when he was approached from behind and knocked off the bike by an unknown man. The suspect took the victim’s bike and rode off.
The victim initially gave chase and stopped after seeing the suspect reach in pockets. The victim sustained minor injuries. Officers checked the area for the suspect who was not located. The suspect was only described as a tall black male in his 30’s wearing a black shirt and carrying a backpack.

• Commercial Burglary – On October 1, 2022 at 7:54AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Linden Park Apartments located at 3600 Jurgensen Dr. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the leasing office was burglarized sometime between 1:45AM on September 30 and 7:20AM on October 1.
Entry was made through the front door which was found damaged. A power tool was reported missing.

• Residential Burglary – On September 30, 2022 at 8:27PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 16200 block of Radburn St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary-in-progress. The investigation revealed the residents returned to the home and reportedly heard footsteps upstairs. The home was checked by officers, and no one was located inside. The front door to the residence was left unlocked. No property was reported missing.

ARRESTS
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Child Neglect –
On October 1, 2022 at 12:59AM, Prince William County Polic eofficers responded to the Townsquare at Dumfries Apartments located in the 3900 block of Townsquare Ct. in Dumfries (22172) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed the accused, and a 27-year-old female family member were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a firearm and fired multiple rounds into the wall of the hallway inside the apartment.
While investigating the incident, officers determined there were five children, ranging in age from 11 months to 5 years of age, inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. The children and another woman left the apartment shortly after the shots were fired. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Marcus Maleek DANDRIDGE, was arrested.

Charged with 5 counts of child neglect, 1 count of shooting in an occupied dwelling, 1 count of reckless handling, and 1 count of brandishing

• Brandishing | Road Rage Related – On October 1, 2022 at 3:55PM, Prince William County Policeofficers responded to the area of Lee Hwy. and Virginia Oaks Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed a driver, a 24-year-old woman, and an adult female passenger were turning onto Linton Hall Rd. when they were involved in a road rage incident with the driver of the vehicle behind them.
Both vehicles proceeded through the intersection and stopped at the above intersection where the other driver, later identified as the accused, brandished a firearm towards them. The accused pulled into a nearby parking lot and the victims continued traveling before contacting police. At no point during the encounter were shots fired. While investigating the incident, officers received information that identified the accused as Sungmin AHN and obtained warrants for his arrest. Later that evening, the accused, turned himself in to police.

Charged with 2 counts of brandishing

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On October 1, 2022 at 11:27PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Days Inn located at 7249 New Market Ct in Manassas (20109) for a guest, identified as the accused, who was banging on walls and breaking items in the hallway. When officers arrived at the hotel, they accompanied the manager to the room of accused where he was then asked to leave.
At that point, the accused pulled out a kitchen knife from his pants. Officers issued commands and the suspect was detained without incident.
While officers escorted the accused from the hotel, he began to resist and spat in the face of one of the officers on two occasions. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Joshua Albert JACOBSON, was arrested.

• Malicious Wounding – On October 2, 2022 at 1:01AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a stabbing that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1600 block of Frances Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed the victim, a 32-year-old man, and another man, identified as the accused, were attending a gathering at the home when a verbal altercation ensued.
During the encounter, the accused stabbed the victim multiple times. The victim was taken to an area hospital where police were contacted. The victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. The accused was eventually located by officers at his residence where he was detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Englis Osmany CARRANZA FLORES, was arrested.

Charged with malicious wounding
