Paper shed and collection for tennis shoes & food in Herndon on Sunday

Assistance League of Northern Virginia’s Paper Shred event is this Sunday, Sept. 25, from noon to 3 p.m. at 13501 Franklin Farm Road, Herndon.
Besides bringing your important documents to shred, you can also donate gently used sneakers for the nonprofit’s GotSneakers campaign, and nonperishable food for a local food pantry.
Assistance League will have this year’s Gingerbread White House Ornament for sale. The groups assists needy children and families.
