• Homicide Investigation *ARREST – On July 6, 2022, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department"s Violent Crimes Bureau arrested a suspect in connection to the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man which occurred at the Cheshire Station Plaza located in the 4400 block of Cheshire Station Plz. in Woodbridge (22193) on June 14, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.
During the investigation, detectives identified one of the men present during the encounter as Angel Alfonso MORALES FLORES and obtained warrants for his arrest. On July 6, the accused turned himself in to police without incident. Detectives are continuing to ask anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the police. The investigation continues as detectives seek to identify the other suspects involved in the shooting.

Homicide Investigation [Previously Released] – On June 15, 2022 detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau were notified the man who was shot in the Cheshire Station Plaza located in the 4400 block of Cheshire Station Plz. in Woodbridge (22193) on June 14, died as a result of his injuries sustained during the incident. The preliminary investigation revealed a transaction was arranged to occur at the above location between the deceased and his acquaintance with three other men. At one point during the encounter, one of the other men fired multiple rounds which struck the deceased in the upper body. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the police. The investigation continues.
Aggravated Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] –On June 14, 2022 at 1:59PM, officers responded to the Cheshire Station Plaza located in the 4400 block of Cheshire Station Plz. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. Upon arriving at the shopping center, officers located a 19-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Bystanders and officers provided first aid to the man before rescue personnel arrived at the location. The man was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the man and an acquaintance arranged to meet other parties in the above area. During the encounter, one of the other parties fired multiple rounds which struck the victim. The other parties then fled in a light-colored vehicle prior to police arriving in the area. No additional victims or property damage were reported. While canvassing the area, officers located shell casings and two firearms which were collected for processing. At this time, the incident is not believed to be random. The investigation continues.
INCIDENTS
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 6, 2022 at 11:04PM, officers responded to the Regency Apartments located in the 9800 block of Shallow Creek Lp. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. Residents reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area. The investigation revealed multiple shots were fired from a black Nissan 4-door sedan. Several shell casings were located in the roadway. No injuries or property damage were reported.
• Residential Burglary – On July 6 at 12:25PM, officers responded to the Misty Ridge Apartments located in the 2000 block of Sequoia Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident of an apartment reported to police he observed an unknown individual inside the residence. When the suspect observed the resident at the front door, he fled out of the rear sliding door. While checking the apartment, the family’s miniature Poodle was found injured. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A bag was reported missing.
ARRESTS
• Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer | Attempted Disarming of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 5, 2022 at 9:55PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Alaska Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Upon arriving in the area, officers were approached by three men who were standing outside of the residence. Officers determined one of the men, identified as the accused, had destroyed property inside the home. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he refused to follow officer’s commands and struck an officer with his head. During the altercation, the accused attempted to remove one of the officer’s firearms from its holster before he then bit and struck the officer. The accused continued to actively resist and, at one point, one of the other men intervened which prevented the officer from taking the accused into custody.
After a brief struggle, both the accused and the other man were taken into custody. Rescue personnel transported the accused to an area hospital for treatment and further evaluation. The investigation revealed the accused was in a verbal altercation with the two other men when he began to damage several pieces of property within the home. During the encounter, the accused struck one of the men, who was identified as a family member. The parties separated and went outside of the home where they encountered police. The officer and the family member reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Selven CORRALES ALVARADO and the man, identified as Walter CORRALES ALVARADO, were arrested.

• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 6, 2022 at 4:05PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Earl Ct. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic. Upon arriving at the home, officers located the victim, a 36-year-old woman, injured inside the home. The investigation revealed the victim and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused kicked and struck the victim before grabbing her throat. Eventually the parties separated, and the police were contacted. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, was arrested.
