Prince William County Development Office has announced that effective Monday, June 6, 2022, all customers with initial (first submission) Land Development project applications will be required to check-in, in-person at the Early Assistance Desk (EAD).
The EAD staff will conduct an initial review to ensure customers have all the required documentation to be submitted, as we work to reduce a backlog in incomplete submissions. An analysis of the current backlog identified roughly 37 percent of the Land Development project applications submitted by customers are failing the quality control process for simple reasons (i.e., missing documents).
If all required documentation is correct and accepted by EAD staff, customers will be provided a green sheet to include with the initial submission and be routed to the Land Development Counter to submit the project application. Only initial submissions with EAD’s green sheet will be accepted by the Land Development Counter.
The staff says it appreciates customer patience as this new procedure is implemented to reduce the backlog burden and dedicate staff time to process complete submissions, that have green sheets.
