• Strangulation |Abduction *ARREST – On April 19, 2022, the suspect sought in connection to the domestic reported to have occurred at the Ravens Crest Apartments located in the 8100 block of Weatherwood Court in Manassas (20109) on March 17, was arrested. The accused, identified as Harvey Lee WATSON, was located, and taken into custody by members of the Fairfax County Police where he will remain until transported to Prince William County.

Charged with strangulation, abduction, domestic assault and battery, prevent the summoning of law enforcement, destruction of property, and grand larceny

Strangulation |Abduction [Previously Released]—On March 17 at 8:35PM, officers responded to the Ravens Crest Apartments located in the 8100 block of Weatherwood Court in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 38-year-old female, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the altercation, the accused pushed the victim into a closet as he grabbed her throat. The accused then physically prevented the victim from leaving the apartment. While the victim was on the phone with emergency services, the accused took the victim’s phone and threw it down a storm drain. Eventually, the parties separated and the accused fled on foot prior to police arriving at the location. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Harvey Lee WATSON. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
Incidents
• Brandishing of a Firearm | Road Rage Related – On April 19, 2022 at 1:12PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a brandishing that was reported to have occurred near the intersection of Dumfries Rd. and Spriggs Rd. in Manassas (20112) earlier that day. The victim, an 18-year-old man, reported to police that he was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a red Chevy Impala while driving on Dumfries Rd. The investigation revealed that while the two vehicles were next to each other at the above intersection, the driver of the Impala brandished a firearm. The suspect quickly drove away, and the victim continued to his destination before contacting the police. At no time were shots fired during the incident. The only suspect description currently available is a black male in his 40’s, with short black hair and a beard.
• Attempted Commercial Burglary – On April 19 at 1:20pm, officers responded to SES Mid Atlantic located at 9251 Industrial Ct. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The president of the company reported to police that entry into the building was attempted sometime between 12:01AM on April 17 and 6:00AM on April 19 through the attached garage which was found damaged. No entry was made into the business and no property was reported missing.
• Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 18, 2022 at 5:43PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2100 block of Oberlin Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a destruction of property. The investigation revealed that on the morning of April 14, the homeowner woke to a loud noise near their front door. Upon checking the home, the homeowner did not see anyone or any damage. On April 18, the homeowner observed damage to the front door. At no point was entry made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
• Indecent Exposure – Today, April 20, 2022 at 2:00AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Sutton Apartments located in the 2300 block of Vantage Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 26-year-old woman, reported to police that she heard a knock at her door and upon opening the door, she observed an unknown black male without clothes on exposing himself and making inappropriate gestures. The victim immediately closed the door and the suspect walked away. The investigation revealed that the suspect returned to the victim’s apartment and knocked on her door several more times prior to police arriving at the location. While investigating, officers determined the suspect knocked on a second apartment door, where a 29-year-old woman also observed the suspect in a similar manner. At no time did the suspect attempt to force his way into the apartments and there was no physical contact between the suspect and the victims.
