• Strangulation *ARREST –
On April 4, 2022, the suspect sought in connection to the domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 9000 block of Sowder Pl. in Nokesville (20181) on April 2, was arrested. The accused, identified as Christopher Michael GRIMES, was taken into custody in Montgomery County, Maryland where he will remain in-custody until extradited to Virginia.

Strangulation [Previously Released] – On April 3, 2022 at 10:22AM, officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 9000 block of Sowder Pl. in Nokesville (20181) at approximately 4:30AM on April 2. The investigation revealed that the accused kicked and grabbed the victim, identified as a 10-year-old boy, by his neck. A family member intervened, and the parties eventually separated. The accused left the residence later that morning. The victim reported he sustained minor injuries during the altercation. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Christopher Michael GRIMES. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Incidents
• Attempted Armed Robbery –
On April 4, 2022 at 1:29PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate an attempted robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) at approximately 11:20PM on April 3. The victim, a 50-year-old man, reported to police that he was parked in the parking lot of the above location, when a red vehicle pulled up behind his vehicle which prevented him from driving away. At one point, two masked occupants of the vehicle approached the victim’s vehicle and attempted to open the driver’s door. The victim stayed inside the vehicle and refused to open the door. During the encounter, one of the occupants retrieved a firearm and demanded property from the victim. The victim refused and the suspects eventually left the parking lot. At no time during the encounter was any physical contact made between the victim and the suspects. No property was reported missing. The two male suspects and the driver of the vehicle were described as being between 18–20 years of age with thin builds, and approximately 5’6”.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 5, 2022 at 9:00AM, officers responded to investigate a destruction of property that was reported to have occurred at the dead-end area of Airman Ave. in Manassas (20110) sometime between 6:00PM on April 4 and 5:00AM on April 5. The investigation revealed that at some point during the above timeframe gunshots were fired which struck multiple portable toilets that were in the area. Shell casings were also located in the area. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

Arrests
• Abduction | Domestic Related –
On April 3 at 11:52PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of Three Dormers Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 57-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused physically prevented the victim from leaving the room and scratched her. Eventually the parties separated, and the police were contacted. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers sought petitions against the accused, identified as a 15-year-old female juvenile. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in an informal action and will be handled through the juvenile diversion process

• Attempted Strong-Arm Robbery – On March 25 at 6:31PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Clipper Dr. and Tumbling Brook Ln. in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 13-year-old male juvenile, reported to police that he was at the basketball courts near the above area when he was approached by a group of male juveniles. During the encounter, one of the juveniles, later identified as the accused, implied he had a weapon and demanded the victim’s phone. When the victim refused, the accused reached into the victim’s pocket and attempted to remove the phone. The accused and the rest of the group fled on foot when they were not able to get the phone. The victim left the courts and reported the incident to a family member who contacted the police. No injuries were reported. While investigating, officers identified the accused and determined no weapon was involved in the incident. Following the investigation, on April 4, the accused, identified as a 14-year-old male juvenile, was arrested.
